“…From this new Fine Arts generation, Sônia is the most worried to show the resources of the pure line on the white paper, simply, without tricks. It’s a good thing in these times that new materials could drive us the mistake to be content only for the gratuity of own exposed material.

In Art, is intended a minimum of resources, a maximum of expression. Sônia Gutierrez already demonstrated to have a strong line and a whole inner world to be shown.

The rest is maturity, that will be, maybe, through another expressive ways.

For this she is young. For this she doesn’t believe that Art is whole ready.
